ALL things are POSSIBLE for YOU… if YOU Believe! (Part 2 of 3)

Apologies to everyone for not getting the post out yesterday as promised… but here goes:

On Wednesday, we did Part #1 of ‘All Things are Possible for You… if You Believe!‘. In it, we discussed that when we go into prayer for anything we desire… whether it be for our family, finances, physical & emotional healing, whatever… there are 3 IMPORTANT concepts for us to remember when we aim to get results from our prayers.

Do not think you are selfish when you pray for yourself personally. God is your loving Father… and so there are some things which you should EXPECT to have… since you are the son or daughter of the most High King of the Universe.

DISCLAIMER: Now, these are NOT the ONLY 3 concepts that we need to have when it comes to answered prayer… just 3 that I personally believe are integral in us getting results when we send our prayer up to heaven. If you come up with any other concepts… please write about them in the Comments section.

THREE (3) CONCEPTS:
(1) God is Your Loving FATHER
(2) FAITH is the Engine that Moves Prayer
(3) PERSISTENCE is the Road You Travel until You Reach the Results

FAITH is the Engine that Moves Prayer
Pretty much ALL the big and huge moves & decisions that I have personally made in life have been made in faith.

I believe that whenever we move and act in faith… we are pleasing the Father. I believe whenever He sees one of His sons or daughters moving or walking in faith He looks down from His throne and says, “Now that’s MY boy… you’re making me proud!” or “That’s MY girl… show ’em how it’s done!”

Check out what the Bible says about how faith pleases God:

“But without FAITH it is impossible to please Him… for he who comes to God must BELIEVE (have faith) that He is, and that He is a REWARDER of those who DILIGENTLY seek Him.”  (Hebrews 11:6)

You see my friend… if we have no faith, we ARE not pleasing our Father. Your Heavenly Father is saying to you RIGHT NOW, that if we believe in Him… He will REWARD you!

My definition of faith is this: ‘Believing that you have something RIGHT NOW… even though you can’t see it, feel it, touch it, hear it it, taste it, or smell it’

Faith goes beyond just simply believing in something (such as your healing in your body, or believing that your business will explode financially)… you MUST be able to mentally see yourself in the position that you pray that God will get you too!

EXAMPLE: So if you are praying for a new house… and you have done all that you can do on your side (get your credit in order, searched out homes, etc.)… put it in God’s hands and EXPECT and visually SEE that you have the new home that you are praying for.

Get photos of your new home and place it on your fridge (or wherever you can see it multiple times a day — I know you like to eat, so the fridge is a GREAT place). Start shopping for new appliances and furniture to place in your new home. Imagine what your new home will smell like… and imagine yourself walking through your new kitchen.

Basically, start acting like you have that thing that you are believing in God for by faith!

You see, the Bible is a book of God’s promises to us (his children). Out of the many things He declares in his Word, faith is one of the most talked about subjects in the Bible.

Read a few of the comments that God declares about faith in His Word:

  • Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
  • Now Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.  (Romans 4:3)
  • Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that moment. (Matthew 9:22)
  • According to your faith will it be done to you. (Matthew 9:29)
  • He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”  (Mark 5:34)
  • He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. (Luke 17:6)
  • He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed. (Acts 14:9)

Let me know what you think. I would LOVE to see your comments, questions, and discussions on any of these posts! Part 3 will come out on Monday.

Have a GREAT weekend… and until Monday, be blessed, and walk in God’s abundance for your life, today!

ALL things are POSSIBLE for YOU… if YOU Believe! (Part 1 of 3)

Last week I was talking to a good friend concerning a past post I had done titled, “Did You Know that You are a King“… and in it I described how we are royalty created on this earth by the King of kings (Christ Jesus)… and how we are to walk in power, authority, dominion, and influence over our emotions, thoughts, finances, and EVEN over sickness/disease.

Anyways, my friend raised up a VERY good (and difficult) question concerning that post… which I was going to respond back to her privately on… but then decided it would be to all of our benefits if I answered it back publicly, as no doubt MANY people probably have the same question.

It was such an AWESOME question she asked…

By now, if you’re still reading this (which I know you are!), you’re probably screaming inside your head,”Get down to business and tell us what that question was Daniel… the suspense is KILLING me!!”

So ladies and gentlemen, without further ado… the question summarized was this: “If I pray & believe for someone to be healed and it doesn’t happen right away… how long do I keep praying for?”

After all, the Bible specifically tells us that (1) Jesus healed, (2) Greater works than Him shall we do, (3) Ask for anything in the name of Jesus and I will do it for you, (4) Lay our hands on the sick and they shall recover.

My answer to her question would be this: ‘If you pray for something and truly BELIEVE in it with all of your heart… keep praying & thanking God for answering your prayer… keep doing what you can do in your own power… and prepare for the results.. UNTIL you see the results!’

You may receive results instantly! You may receive your answer 3 days from now. You may receive the results 3 months for now.

Shockingly, you may see the results 3 years from now! (Yeah, I know you didn’t want to hear that 3 years part… but I said it anyways).

Do we have enough faith, heart, and persistence to keep on praying for something… even when we don’t see the results instantly. It is in fact, VERY difficult for anyone (including myself) to keep praying for anything… especially when you can’t see the results instantly, but never-the-less, it is a muscle that we all must build.

The Word of God goes on to tell us in MULTIPLE verses that (1) We are healed according to OUR faith & (2) Jesus when he went back to Nazareth, could only heal a FEW people, because of their lack of faith.

Think about it… the He-Man of healing, the King of kings, and the God of this whole universe wasn’t ABLE to heal people… and it was because of their lack of faith.

Consider this: A man once asked Jesus to heal his son of seizures and an evil spirit that sought to destroy the boy. The man didn’t quite 100% believe that Jesus could conquer something “so big” as healing that boy… and asked Jesus, ‘IF you can heal him, please do so’.

Jesus’ response to the man was this: ‘If I can?? ALL things are POSSIBLE to him who believes’… and then proceeded to heal the boy after the man declared that ‘he believed’. (Mark 9:14-29)

I would like to say this to you today friend… ALL things are POSSIBLE for YOU… if YOU will believe!

So that leads me to THREE (3) very important concepts that I believe are IMPORTANT for us to understand when it comes to receiving answers to our prayers. Please remember this is not an exhaustive list… and remember, God is NOT a big, blue genie waiting to fulfill EVERY single request and wish you ask of him when you rub his lamp. Your name is NOT Aladdin… and you do NOT have a flying rug… or a comically, funny monkey that sits on your shoulder.

We don’t try to use God so that we can get ahead in life… we allow God to USE us, so He can get ourselves and others ahead in life.

Here are the concepts:

(1) God is Your Loving FATHER
(2) FAITH is the Engine that Moves Prayer
(3) PERSISTENCE is the Road You Travel until You Reach the Results

(1) Like any good parent… God is your heavenly Father… who wants to see you (His son or daughter) succeed in life and do good. Many people have a fearful, damning view of God, like He’s a scary entity that is ready to strike you down with a lightning bolt as soon as you walk across the street without looking both ways… but in reality God is Love and wants the best for you.

Did you know that when the Bible talks about ‘The fear of the Lord’… it is NOT speaking or commanding us to have actual fear of God, but it is telling us to be ‘in awe and total utter respect of the power and strength of the Almighty God who is before us and who made us.’

The Bible states in summary in Luke 11:9-13 this… ‘What good father when his son asks for a fish, gives him a snake… or if his son asks for an egg, gives him a scorpion?’

On the flip side of this… we know that as good parents, our children will not ALWAYS receive everything they ask for… especially if we can’t afford it, or if it will do the kid damage, or if the kid is not ready/mature enough to receive it.

The God you serve is not poor and destitute (Good News!)… so He can afford anything, because He created everything (Right now I hear someone saying ‘duh’ right now). It is my personal belief, however, that He won’t give us our requests if they would be damaging to ourselves or others… or if we are NOT mature enough to receive what we ask for.

So next time you pray… try calling Him Father God (make it personal)… and remember that He is YOUR Father…and that He loves you and wants the best for you… and believe what that you have what you pray for.

I will post parts 2 and 3 on my blog at http://www.TodayAbundance.com on Thursday and Friday… and trust me, you DON’T want to miss any of these posts!

Make sure you tune in to the blog and subscribe to the daily posts by e-mail so you don’t miss a single post. Until tomorrow, be blessed and walk in God’s abundance for your life today!

How Long is a Million Years?

A man was taking it easy, laying on the grass and looking up at the clouds. He was identifying shapes when he decided to talk to God.

“God”, he said, “how long is a million years?”

God answered, “In my frame of reference, it’s about a minute.”

The man asked, “God, how much is a million dollars?” God answered, “To me, it’s a penny.”

The man then asked, “God, can I have a penny?” God answered, “In a minute.”

Have a BLESSED weekend… and remember to get plenty of laughs. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.”

Did You Know that You are a KING?

Did you know that regardless of who you are… or what station you are at in life… and no matter what line of work or business you’re in… do you know that you are a KING in God’s eyes?

Consider the following declaration to us:

“…and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth… To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood… and has made us KINGS and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen!” (Revelation 1:5, 6 – NKJV)

While it may be hard for some to grasp this notion of kingship, you are in fact ROYALTY on this earth… and you have certain unalienable rights that are granted to you from the King of kings, Jesus Christ! The Bible says in another place that you are a “…chosen person, a royal priesthood, a peculiar person to God! ” (1 Peter 2:9)

So what does it mean to be a king (or a queen – for you ladies out there reading this) under Christ Jesus?

It means that you are to walk, speak, and ACT like you have dominon, influence, and power over every aspect of your life. Anything that is a part of this earth… you have the authority to control (except people). You have the authority to do this by your King, who said, “Greater works than me shall you do!” (John 14:12)

When problems arise at your job or place of business… or perhaps in your finances… command them to act right. DO what you can do in your own power to solve the issues… and EXPECT God to honor the dominion that He has given you over the earth and complete what you cannot.

Have you EVER seen a broke or poor King? No, you haven’t… so why should you be broke, poor, or destitute if God has commanded you to be a King? Even if you don’t even have a nickel in your pocket… get it implanted in your mind and your spirit that you are WEALTHY, and the question for you won’t be ‘If I can ever get wealthy”… it’ll be ‘When I get wealthy!”

If you or your loved ones encounter sickness, disease, or accidents… no matter how life threatening it is… KNOW that you have dominion over it. Jesus walked around COMMANDING these things… and you can too, as long as you BELIEVE. Command sickness to bow down… command diseases to bow down… command ailments to bow down… command depression to bow down in the name that is above every name, JESUS.

Your emotions are subject to you. Any poor or negative attitudes are subject to you. Even addictions are SUBJECT to you! You tell them what to do… and not the other way around.

Remember this friend… you ARE a King, without any doubt… and there is no arguement about it. If you believe that Jesus is your Lord, and that God has raised him from the dead… you are a King. So this day, don’t walk with your head down, but hold it up high. Don’t walk in fear and anxiety… but walk in faith and excitement.

Why? Because this is the day the Lord has made for YOU… so start walking like you own some stuff and like your important!

Is Jesus God? Proof that Jesus is who He SAYS He was!

We all know that there are thousands of different beliefs a person can have in this world. Some people are Christians, others are Jews, still others are Muslim. Many worship the God of the Hindus, follow the Kaballah, some are Free Thinkers, some worship nature, others worship money. Still others are Agnostic and some people don’t even believe in a god at all (athiest).

Obviously, the huge majority of you who follow this blog are believers of Christ Jesus… but have you EVER wondered if there is scientific proof that proves that Jesus is God? Have you ever wondered if Jesus is the only way to God?

Have you ever thought, ‘Some of my friends or co-workers worship Allah… or perhaps are super-intelligent athiests who won’t believe in God, unless there’s proof?’

Is there any way to put scientific or mathematical proof to our faith in Jesus… or do we have to just blindly believe the Bible just SOLEY by our faith alone?

(1) Mathematics (Statistics) proves that Jesus is truly who the Bible says He was.
Okay, so I know that when you read the words mathematics & statistics, that doesn’t sound very sexy… and probably half of you stopped reading at that point… but I promise you, I’ll keep it short and to the point. (really, it’s a promise!)

That said… some people think that the Old Testament is a drag and a bore… with some of it’s many genealogy lists and numbers (and honestly speaking, I tend to pass these numbers by myself when I’m reading)… but what many people don’t know is that one of the Old Testament’s MAJOR good points, is that it proves that Jesus is who he said he was… the Son of God.

In case you didn’t know, the Old Testament contains 39 seperate books (the Catholic O.T. has 46). These books were written over the span of some 3,000 years by over 25 different Jewish authors.

Now here’s where it gets interesting…

Many of the prophecies and statements in this 3,000 year-old compilation of books… were fulfilled in the life of ONE man. Can you guess who?

Jesus fulfilled over 48 Old Testament prophecies in His life. Some of these included:

* Being born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14)
* Born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)
* He would be preceded by a messenger – John the Baptist (Isaiah 40:3)
* His side would be pierced (Zechariah 12:10)
* He would be crucified (Psalm 22)
* He was a healer (Isaiah 53:5)

So is this a coincidence? The answer is ‘No’.

Using the modern science of probability… a scientist named Peter Stoner, stated that the probability for just 8 of those 48 prophecies being fulfilled in the life of one man… would be 1 in 10^17. That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 chance.

To make this number more understandable… if you take 10^17 silver dollars, they would fill the WHOLE entire state of Texas… two feet deep! Now if you take just ONE of those silver dollar, mark it, and throw it into the mix, then blindfold a man and tell him to pick up that marked dollar… the chances of him pocking up the right dollar is the SAME probability of just 8 of those 48 prophecies of Jesus being fulfilled in the lifetime of one man.

That simply does not happen by coincidence… it is divine order.

So basically put… statistics prove that Jesus is who he says he was based on O.T. prophecy. And if that is the case, then that means that we can logically believe and TRUST whatever word Jesus gives in the Bible about himself… or us. And one of those statements is, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 8:12)

(2) Science (Physics) proves that there is a God in this Universe

There are some Christians out there who believe that science is “a tool of the devil”… and then there are many athiests out there who believe that God is just “a happy fairy tale, created to satisfy the spiritual needs for dumb people”.

I believe that as both spiritual and intelligent people… it is a MUST for us to embrace both God and science.

Why do I say this?

Because God (the Bible) explains ‘WHY things happen”…while science explains ‘HOW things happen”

The Bible tells us WHY God created the world, the universe, the oceans, the animals, and us human beings. It tells us WHY there is evil in the world, and WHY we need a savior, and WHY we exist on this earth (our purpose).

But don’t science and the Bible disagree in a lot of the major stuff? The answer is ‘No’ for the most part.

Science goes into greater depth and tells HOW these things happen. Science also gives us things called ‘Laws’ and ‘Theories’.

A LAW is something that is proven to be true, because we have evidence… and a THEORY is something that we think MIGHT be true, but we can’t actually prove it because there’s not enough evidence.

Gravity is a law. It is proven that if you jump off a building and are not Superman, you will fall. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Evolution and the Big Bang are theories. Never will you see scientists call it the law of evolution or the big bang law. It is always called the theory of evolution… or the Big Bang theory.

Now while we worship God, our Creator… and not worship science or the creation (Romans 1:25)… science does in fact PROVE that there is a God in the universe.

Not meaning to sound too geeky (no offense to all you smart people reading this)… the First LAW of Thermodynamics in physics simply states that ENERGY ‘can be transformed… but is NEITHER created or destroyed’.

In other words, energy always has been… it has no beginning and it has no end. Energy was the 1st thing in existence… and everything in this universe and this world that we behold with our eyes… was created by this energy. Energy is eternal. Energy transformed is what gives people, the trees, the birds of the air and fish of the sea life.

Does this kind of sound like somebody you know?

God in His Word states several things about Himself:

* “There were no gods formed before me… and there will be none after me” (Isaiah 43:10)
* “All things in this world were made through Him & without Him nothing was made that has been made.” (John 1:3)
* “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7)

In the end, our faith is what brings us to God. But it’s always nice to have some scientific proof to back what we believe in!

Comments, disagreements, and your thoughts are ALWAYS welcome! Let me know what you think on the comments section of this blog… or writing on the group wall of TodayAbundance if you’re reading this on Facebook.

Be blessed… and walk in God’s abundance today!

How to Invest in Your Self (Part 3 of 3)

Daniel Wiafe

Alright, so it’s Monday (definitely the best day of the week – LOL)… and for most of you across the world, you have gone back to work after hopefully a good weekend. My weekend is still going on… I’m writing this blog post from a LaQuinta in sunny and warm North Las Vegas, NV and will return back home late tomorrow evening to good, ole Oklahoma.

Anyways, for the past few days we have been looking at seven (7) things we can pursue… that will increase us spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

These things include:

1) Spend 15-30 minutes a day in Personal Development
2) Put God First, Family Second, Self Third, Others Fourth
3) Make Own Lifestyle Decisions
4) Whatever U Do for Money… Make Sure Your in Business for Yourself
5) Exercise
6) Make the Most of the Money You Bring in to Your Home
7) Map Out Your Own Financial Future

Last Thursday and Friday, we described in detail the first 4 items on the list above.

If you missed Part 1, you may click here to read it first.

If you missed Part 2, you may click here to read it second.

5) Exercise

Obviously exercise is needed for us to keep this marvelous body that God has blessed us with… in good shape. Would you let your car run for a year without changing the oil? Or would you let your child go a month without bathing him or her? Well the same is true with our bodies…. we must keep ourselves physically fit.

The biggest issue with exercise I feel, is that most people feel like they don’t have enough time to do it… but I would say to those people… you can’t afford NOT to exercise. People who live sedentary lives have shorter lives… have more health complications… and the lives that they live are not as exciting (for the most part) as those who are physically fit.

There are THREE (3) major things that we should do so that we can have a strong, healthy body for many years to come…

1. Aerobic or cardiovascular activities — Do this at least 3 times a week at minimum, for at least 30 minutes. Do FUN things that you like, such as playing basketball, tennis, rollerskating, jogging, flag football, bicycling, soccer, kayacking, rock climbing, walking, swimming… ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that is fun for you to do that gets your heart moving, is a good candidate.

Having a strong heart and strong lungs is a primary thing for all of us to do… and there are many fun things you can do to keep a healthy and strong heart.

2. Weight Training — Okay, so I know some of you (especially the ladies)… don’t want to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger… but keeping your muscles strong is a MUST, especially if you want to live a strong and healthy life.

And don’t worry ladies… you won’t look like She-Hulk when you start lifting weights. Why? Because those woman who are super-buff and super-ripped take steroids. Testosterone is the chief catalyst that make muscles become HUGE and BULKY. That is the main reason why men in general… can develop more bulk than our female counterparts.

To check out a good workout program… check out Tim Ferris’ post on Weight Training by clicking here.

3. Stretching — You have to keep your muscles limber… to prevent you and your joints from getting hurt if you have slips and falls. Spend about 10 minutes a day stretching your hamstrings, calves, lower back, neck, quadriceps, shoulders, etc.

6) Make the Most of the Money You Bring in to Your Home
Some people make a LOT of money. Some people make decent money. Some people are so broke, they look for change in between the cushions to pay for gas!

Whichever category you may land in… you are the end decision-maker on where your money will go to. Obviously we all have bills to pay (mortgage/rent, utilities, food, etc.)… but all the rest of the income we have left over after paying the bills… can be spent on things that lift us up financially or take us out.

Do you spend your extra money on buying assets and other things which go up in value for the most part (ex. real estate, stocks, business ventures, etc.) or things which have HIGH value (ex. fitness, giving to your local church, feeding hungry children in Africa, education, etc.)…

…or do you spend the VAST majority of your discretionary income on things which go down (ex. expensive cars, clothes, eating out, movies, jewelry, etc.). Now I’m not saying to NOT buy things of this nature (that would truly suck & life would be boring!)… but what I am saying is don’t spend the VAST majority of your extra income on this stuff.

7) Map Out Your Own Financial Future
IMPORTANT: Do not allow others to map out your own financial future. You should take charge of your own future. Do not depend on your job, or your boss, or the government to take care of you… because in the end, they won’t.

You DO NOT want to be that type of person… who when they are in their 60’s complains that someone else didn’t take care of them. You are NOT a baby, you do not need anyone to take care of you… or to be dependent on anyone… but God.

I am not saying don’t get financial advice. Do get GOOD financial advice from people who actually know what they’re talking about… and follow their advice only when it makes sense in your situation.

God bless you all and if you have any comments… please leave them below. Until tomorrow, be blessed and walk in God’s abundance today!

6) Make the Most of the Money You Bring in to Your Home
