Thanks Greta... Yes, when you read the whole scripture of Deuteronomy 8 in context with verse 8:18, basically what God is saying is that 'I delivered you out of Egypt.. and blessed you... so when you come into your blessings, don't say YOU did it... but realize it came from Me, because I gave you that power (or authority).

The reason why many Christians don't get wealthy financially... is simply because they don't have the practical skills or are not financially wise at making decisions with their bank accounts.

Many will tithe, pay offerings, and have 'faith' for the wealth to drop into their laps... but then they go along not having any plans on saving or investing money, paying down their debt, increasing their income, etc.

There are natural laws and spiritual laws on this Earth... and both should be followed.

Daniel, I like this. Reminds me of T. Harv Eker's Millionaire Mind teachings. I just wasn't sure where Biblical support for declarations such as this came from.

Does God really want for us to be (financially) wealthy when we "declare wealth", or is His intent sometimes in ways other than financial? Because why are not more Christians wealthy then? I mean, when we declare ourselves to be wealthy, I naturally think financial wealth. But I am wondering if God sometimes answers (blesses) us in other ways instead even when we have specifically asked for financial wealth? Would this then not contradict Job 22:28? If we make a declaration and it “is established and His light shines on us”, then why would our declaration be answered otherwise or seemingly not at all?

And what if God does not want someone to be rich, yet they have asked for it? Not everyone can handle money properly. Would His light still shine on this request? Would the declaration still be established?

I wonder why, when His people suffer from financial setbacks, He does not provide instant assistance, if they have claimed Job 22:28. (Just like I wonder why our requests for healing do not happen instantly).

Is it because we have not asked, but accepted instead? Not believed? Have a lesson to learn? Have not thanked Him?

So if I declared myself "wealthy beyond belief" (Job 22:28 You will decree (DECLARE) a thing and it WILL be established… and the light will shine upon ALL your ways) will this come true for me? Or was that just meant for Job?

Believing the Scriptures, do I dare declare myself wealthy beyond belief and believing this declaration, will it be so? According to the Scriptures it will happen.

I will do my homework, Daniel as above, and I will make my 10 declarations (check your first one). I will personally put this to the test.

For if the Scriptures are emphatic in this respect (finances), then we can apply this to healing in our lives also. And just maybe, I have stumbled onto something that has been elusive until the talking and the thinking out, of this lesson. The similarities are too coincidental.
