ALL things are POSSIBLE for YOU… if YOU Believe! (Part 1 of 3)

Last week I was talking to a good friend concerning a past post I had done titled, “Did You Know that You are a King“… and in it I described how we are royalty created on this earth by the King of kings (Christ Jesus)… and how we are to walk in power, authority, dominion, and influence over our emotions, thoughts, finances, and EVEN over sickness/disease.

Anyways, my friend raised up a VERY good (and difficult) question concerning that post… which I was going to respond back to her privately on… but then decided it would be to all of our benefits if I answered it back publicly, as no doubt MANY people probably have the same question.

It was such an AWESOME question she asked…

By now, if you’re still reading this (which I know you are!), you’re probably screaming inside your head,”Get down to business and tell us what that question was Daniel… the suspense is KILLING me!!”

So ladies and gentlemen, without further ado… the question summarized was this: “If I pray & believe for someone to be healed and it doesn’t happen right away… how long do I keep praying for?”

After all, the Bible specifically tells us that (1) Jesus healed, (2) Greater works than Him shall we do, (3) Ask for anything in the name of Jesus and I will do it for you, (4) Lay our hands on the sick and they shall recover.

My answer to her question would be this: ‘If you pray for something and truly BELIEVE in it with all of your heart… keep praying & thanking God for answering your prayer… keep doing what you can do in your own power… and prepare for the results.. UNTIL you see the results!’

You may receive results instantly! You may receive your answer 3 days from now. You may receive the results 3 months for now.

Shockingly, you may see the results 3 years from now! (Yeah, I know you didn’t want to hear that 3 years part… but I said it anyways).

Do we have enough faith, heart, and persistence to keep on praying for something… even when we don’t see the results instantly. It is in fact, VERY difficult for anyone (including myself) to keep praying for anything… especially when you can’t see the results instantly, but never-the-less, it is a muscle that we all must build.

The Word of God goes on to tell us in MULTIPLE verses that (1) We are healed according to OUR faith & (2) Jesus when he went back to Nazareth, could only heal a FEW people, because of their lack of faith.

Think about it… the He-Man of healing, the King of kings, and the God of this whole universe wasn’t ABLE to heal people… and it was because of their lack of faith.

Consider this: A man once asked Jesus to heal his son of seizures and an evil spirit that sought to destroy the boy. The man didn’t quite 100% believe that Jesus could conquer something “so big” as healing that boy… and asked Jesus, ‘IF you can heal him, please do so’.

Jesus’ response to the man was this: ‘If I can?? ALL things are POSSIBLE to him who believes’… and then proceeded to heal the boy after the man declared that ‘he believed’. (Mark 9:14-29)

I would like to say this to you today friend… ALL things are POSSIBLE for YOU… if YOU will believe!

So that leads me to THREE (3) very important concepts that I believe are IMPORTANT for us to understand when it comes to receiving answers to our prayers. Please remember this is not an exhaustive list… and remember, God is NOT a big, blue genie waiting to fulfill EVERY single request and wish you ask of him when you rub his lamp. Your name is NOT Aladdin… and you do NOT have a flying rug… or a comically, funny monkey that sits on your shoulder.

We don’t try to use God so that we can get ahead in life… we allow God to USE us, so He can get ourselves and others ahead in life.

Here are the concepts:

(1) God is Your Loving FATHER
(2) FAITH is the Engine that Moves Prayer
(3) PERSISTENCE is the Road You Travel until You Reach the Results

(1) Like any good parent… God is your heavenly Father… who wants to see you (His son or daughter) succeed in life and do good. Many people have a fearful, damning view of God, like He’s a scary entity that is ready to strike you down with a lightning bolt as soon as you walk across the street without looking both ways… but in reality God is Love and wants the best for you.

Did you know that when the Bible talks about ‘The fear of the Lord’… it is NOT speaking or commanding us to have actual fear of God, but it is telling us to be ‘in awe and total utter respect of the power and strength of the Almighty God who is before us and who made us.’

The Bible states in summary in Luke 11:9-13 this… ‘What good father when his son asks for a fish, gives him a snake… or if his son asks for an egg, gives him a scorpion?’

On the flip side of this… we know that as good parents, our children will not ALWAYS receive everything they ask for… especially if we can’t afford it, or if it will do the kid damage, or if the kid is not ready/mature enough to receive it.

The God you serve is not poor and destitute (Good News!)… so He can afford anything, because He created everything (Right now I hear someone saying ‘duh’ right now). It is my personal belief, however, that He won’t give us our requests if they would be damaging to ourselves or others… or if we are NOT mature enough to receive what we ask for.

So next time you pray… try calling Him Father God (make it personal)… and remember that He is YOUR Father…and that He loves you and wants the best for you… and believe what that you have what you pray for.

And The Rocks WILL Cry Out!

As Jesus was entering into Jerusalem for the last time of his three-year ministry… he was praised and cheered on by multitudes of EXCITED people along the road… who had witnessed or heard about the miracles and healings he had performed on others.

The Bible declares that these people began to, “…joyfully praise God in LOUD voices for all the miracles they had seen.

But not everyone was ecstatic about him coming to town… and some even had a chip on their shoulder. Luke 19:39 talks about these folks, the Pharisees (a group of intelligent Jewish scholars and teachers). It says that they confronted Jesus and said: “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

Basically what they were saying, if I could translate it to our language of today was this: “Teacher, tell all these people who are out here acting a fool to SHUT UP!”

Jesus’ response to the Pharisees was this: “I tell you the truth… if these people keep quiet, the rocks will CRY out!”

This past weekend, I was in a service where a woman who had been dealing with a SEVERE case of open skin and bone infection of her ankle and foot was healed after 5+ years of dealing with this critical condition. The case of infection was so SEVERE, that the doctors had told her at one point, it would be best to amputate her foot to prevent the infection from spreading to the rest of her body and killing her!

This woman had went in to the doctor’s office… and BEFORE the nurses had removed the bandage to examine her wounds, she testified that she began to cry out to God and thank Him for healing her foot (Keep in mind, this was BEFORE the bandage had been unwrapped). The nurse continued to unwrap the foot, and to all the medical personell’s astonishment… that decaying foot was healed!

Even at the church service, a few days after her coming back from the doctor’s office… she continued to praise God in a LOUD voice, for what He had done for her as she told the whole congregation about what had happened and how God had worked.

I say this, to say this: Anytime God does anything great for you… you have a RIGHT, a PRIVILEGE, and a RESPONSIBILITY to praise God in a LOUD voice!

It doesn’t matter what people think… what people around you may say… people may call you a fool… you might look crazy silly… but chances are, God isn’t doing too much for those folks anyways, so who cares what they think!

After all, if Ed McMahon knocked at your front door and was holding a big, oversizes check in has hand… and you had all your friends and family over at your house… I can GUARANTEE you’d probably be jumping up and down, knocking lamps and TVs over, hugging and kissing people, and shouting at the top of your lungs!

Whenever God does something special in your life… He does it for a reason and purpose, namely because of the fact that He loves you… because you are His son or daughter. You are His special creation!

Don’t be mistaken. Even though there are many things that APPEAR to happen to us by accident, chance, our own intelligent, or our own talent… it is ALWAYS God that allows greatness to happen.

The old saying says: ‘When the PRAISES go up, the BLESSINGS will come down”… and is SO true… the more you praise Him, the more blessings tend to keep falling down upon you… because He hears your expressions of gratitude.

So this week, where ever you are at in the world, whether times are good or bad for you right now… open up your mouth and praise Him for the EXCELLENT things He has done for you! Because I guarantee that if you don’t, the rocks will cry out to Him… and I’m not about to have any rocks receive my blessings!

Until next time, be blessed in all that you do… and walk in God’s total abundance, today!

Give Up Moments

Good Morning,

When you’re walking the walk of faith with God, you meet resistance. And at times you may feel like quitting. When this happens, don’t quit! On the other side of your give-up moment could be the miracle you’ve been waiting for.

When Peter loaned Jesus his boat to use to preach to the crowd that had gathered, Peter had reached a give-up moment. He had fished all night and not caught a single fish. After Jesus preached, He gave Peter a word. He said, Let down your nets for a draught (Luke 5:4).

Peter answered, “But, Master, we’ve toiled all night long and caught nothing!” That was his give-up moment. But then he said, Nevertheless, at thy word I will let down the net (v. 5). And he caught so many fish that it broke his net! On the other side of his give-up moment was the very miracle Peter needed!

We all face give-up moments, but that’s when you’re got to trust God to keep His Word. Once you find a promise you need in the Word, and God says He’s going to do it, you can trust the Word-even when you don’t see any results or understand-because it’s backed by God. You don’t have to figure God out. You just have to trust that He will keep His Word.

We often limit ourselves by forgetting that, as believers, we are spirit beings. That means we have a right to operate in spiritual principles. We can trust God’s spiritual laws because they work. When you understand this, you set yourself up for something supernatural to happen for you. So don’t give up! On the other side of your give-up moment could be your miracle!

My Declaration of Faith for Today:

I refuse to give up, because on the other side of my give-up moment could be my miracle!
